Thanks for your interest. I use the speaker that works best with the enclosure i fashion for each suitcase. I’ve used Vifa, Polydax, Celestion, Rockford Fosgate, Altec Lansing, etc. A speaker is only as good as the enclosure that it’s matched with.

I just bought these at Central Square on Sunday and absolutely love them. Even after three days, I’m still making “What Would Sound Best on Maude?” playlists. They sound so rich and detailed and deep and raw but still clean; I’m hearing things in songs I’ve been listening to for 10+ years that I’d never picked up on before. It’s really incredible – and they’re so attractive! Great work. I’m shouting about them from the rooftops.

I just bought this one from Central Square on Sunday! Tom demoed them for me on Saturday, and I just couldn’t stop thinking about them, so I bought them despite not actually, technically being able to afford them; still, it’s the best buying decision I’ve made in a good while. I’m head over heels in love with them. Been playing witj them for two days and still can’t stop making “What Would Sound Best on Maude?” playlists. They sound amazing, especially with stuff that’s really intricate or spare and piano- or guitar-based (but, I mean, everything sounds miles better – so rich and deep and detailed – on these things than I’ve ever heard it sound on anything else; now when I listen to music in my mom’s car, which has a pretty good system, it sounds so small and tinny!).

Awesome work.

And they’re so attractive. I love that they work with batteries, too, even though I’m kind of scared to take them a whole lot of places with me. How durable exactly are they? Like, how well do they travel?
